MONDAY INSPIRATION

Fashion

The Olsen's

The Olsen’s are wearing these caftan looking knits and it is just golden in my eyes. I need one ASAP. It works for the everyday with pants underneath or the evening without them. Am I getting lazy and just want things to work both day and night? Maybe I don’t know but I clearly have a hook on that for the moment. It’s Valentine’s week. Are you doing anything romantic? Let me find some inspiration for that and post later. Have a great start of the week – I’m having my second coffee right this moment. xx

WEEKLY STYLE NOTES

FashionFootwear

For spring I suggest you get your hands on something comfortable yet stylish to go with all your outfits. This pointy d’orsay flat in napa leather with stacked heel from Manolo Blahnik just arrived at Barneys shoe salon and I must say it has all the above mentions, if you ask me. I could see myself wearing them to my everyday denim but also to long dresses in any material. It’s like a tweaked ballerina. Perfection.

FLASHBACK FRIDAY

New YorkOutfits

nyc 2007
NYFW makes me dream back to my time in the City. I found this photos from my first visit back in 2007 in the west ville. Back then I had the hair color amber red and dreamed about a SATC life, maybe something for the spring (speaking of the hair)? Wearing my American Apparel dress (that I think literally all bloggers had at the time being – remember with that deep U back?), slingback in silver by Gucci, scarf that I borrowed from my friend Cat and wrapped around, vintage handbag by Yves Saint Laurent. Those were the days…

APERO

ParisParis Guide

Paris February 2014When the dark hits Paris and all you want to do is leave the office and meet friends there’s a perfect place for that. It’s called La Conserverie and it’s hidden in my beloving neighborhood “Sentier” where I’d go for an apéro and a small bite (their charcuterie plate is amazing). Last week a random evening with Katarina, Evguenia, Matthieu and Fabrice… xx

Paris February 2014
I love wearing my black Levi’s high-rise denim, Sandro sweater and then a more festive acessory that kind of makes the outfit more interesting and unexpected like a gold ring by Pierre Cardin.

CHOCOLATE AND THINGS

ParisParis Guide

Paris February 2014Saturday evening my friends took me to a place called La Guinguette de Neuilly. It was my first time to Neuilly and I must say it do remind me of Notting Hill besides the Hills doesn’t have La Seine. A fantastic food experience and as you can see on the photo I ate the whole “mousse au chocolat” by myself… We’re basically closing the restaurant because of me. Say no more. I can imagine it’s beautiful in the spring time and strongly recommend it.

SADDLE UP

Fashion

Barbara Palvin for Harpers Bazaar October 2012

Happy Monday! Ready for a new week? I thought we kick off this week with some inspiration. In honor to Chinese New Year, Harper’s Bazaar are looking back on some of their favorite saddle editorials (HERE) and it struck me how perfect this outfit would be right this moment (especially in Paris rain and dust). Barbara Palvin by Terry Richardson in all black slightly oversized (sizes) but yet in a feminine way and with this flawless leather jacket – WOW it makes me want to scan Ebay. Enjoy your morning, bises!

L’EXPO

Paris

expo

The beauty with Paris is that there’s a never ending story of exhibitions and expositions. Since all shops are closed on Sundays you can basically only get culturally involved, which I indeed love so no worries. Here’s four expos I’ve seen lately that I though I share:

Le Surréalisme et L’Objet @Pompidou was indeed surrealistic and very sexual. Think mannequins and you have the expo.

Miss Dior @Grand Palais is over now but it was a dedication to the perfume yet full of dresses and his life before as a painter. Magical.

Azzedine Alïa @Palais Galliera, Museum of Fashion my absolute favorite so far. Pure construction heaven.

Claude Monet @Musée Marmottan Monet. There’s the permanent expo that I strongly recommend you to see. And you will indeed recognize yourself.
