Happy dazzling Saturday! Right after I got back from Marrakech it was my birthday party in Paris with the 1920’s costumes. Here’s me Britni and Lisa. More about last weekend soon!

Boots are the best thing about winter, right? Especially when they fit you perfectly and you can wear them all day long. Current trends are more or less the same as PRADA footwear collection back in fall 2001 shot by Cedric Buchet. I’m still crazy about her thigh-high-over-the-knee boots and I wonder if I’d be lucky today when passing by my favorite vintage shop in Paris…
Last day we didn’t do much but hanging by the pool and having dinner at Dar Yacout. An amazing Moroccan luxe restaurant where you have to go. There’s no menu, never-ending wine, live music, sweets from Le Votre and simply – perfection. Already wish I could go back! Enjoy my last photos!
Second day out, we started the morning with a lovely outdoor breakfast on the terrace in the sun before taking off to the Palais Bahia and Palais El Badii. Two major musts if you’re here! Palais Bahia is said to be the most expensive castles ever built in Marrakech and I understand why. Photo after photo, I couldn’t stop myself from photographing the decorative details. When continuing our trip through this magical city I found myself saying: “Let’s go for a massage” at Les Bains de Marrakech for no reason. It simply feels so right when you’re here. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any time available – you have to make a reservation three days in advance, even though you’re not here during the peak period. Instead, we found a terrific terrace named Kashbah Café also with a terrace and classic tajine and boulettes. After lunch and some more shopping, we ended up at Kosybar, which has the perfect mix of Morocco and European chicness. Perfect for a cocktail and you see the sunset over La Koutoubia.
Later on, it was time to get foxy and have a pre-drink at La Mamounia Hotel’s jazz bar and then an absolutely magnificent thai dinner at Maï Thaï and more fun at The Comptoir, Sofitel Hotel and the Casino.
Coming to Marrakech is like entering another world, a magic one. A colorful dream that meets all your expectations, on all levels. If you speak French you’re already considered as “one of them”, which I’m happy to say today that I do and since there’s negotiations everywhere – taxi, market, food, massage… it definitely helps you to get around. Normally, I’d say this is my job so therefore I love it (negotiating buying/selling prices). But when it’s all the time, it’s really nice to have someone with you, then you can take every other day for example.
First day out we did so much I thought I fall asleep on the street. If I remember correctly, we visited the Jemaa El Fna souk, Madrasa Ben Youssef, Jardin Majorelle and Yves Saint Laurent Maison, Jardins de la Palmeraie, Maison de la Photographie where we had a tajine lunch just next to the museum, later sweets at Amandine Patisserie and Moroccan wine at Le Café de la Poste, then dinner at Jack is Back and cocktails at Djallabar. Here’s some cripsy photos for you to enjoy!
can’t have to many of these
Getting away from a rainy Paris is always refelling. My days are more or less covered in mosaic, markets, palais visits and tajines. This is what I was wearing the other day a necklace from my grand mother, monogrammed wallet with chain YVES SAINT LAURENT, long dress and scarf H&M and sandals & OTHER STORIES.
