A little sneak peek from Satuday’s brunch at the new restaurant Portland in Fitzrovia. A complete foodgasm if you ask me. We simply went with the entire menu. It’s all small plates so perfect to share with your friends.
Happy Saturday! Before I’m off to girls’ brunch let’s talk italian. I’m so madly in love with the brand MSGM. I’ve always loved the more expressional ready-to-wear and accessories, simply because they make me happy. The way Massimo Giorgetti mix colors and prints is refreshingly new and I’m very glad to hear that Emilio Pucci has brought him on as their new creative directorafter Peter Dundas. When I saw this stunning photo of Jean Shrimpton photographed by Bert Stern in 1960, I thought this will be my mood for spring – “hippie luxe”.

Time for “dodo” as they say in French! I don’t know why I’m so tired but I believe it’s because I’m back at work meanwhile recovering from my back accident – and as you know I can never sit still (!!). When I came home tonight my laptop had suddenly decided to have no more space – so I quickly had to back it up and then drag each photo albums to a separate share drive. Maybe not the sexiest thing to do on a Tuesday evening, but I do love glancing through my old photos from time to time and this time I came across my old home on West 4th and MacDougal Street. Talk about getting nostalgic. Back in 2010, I had my windows on facing Uptown and each night I would slowly saying good night to the Empire State and the city. I remember never getting bored of it, ever. New York and all that came with it is probably the best thing that ever happen to me and is something I will never forget. Funny though, when looking at the photo today, exactly five years later, I can see that I had a LACOSTE table book in the window that was given to me at their first runway ever at NYFW, and today this is where I’m working. It’s a small world, isn’t it?
Earlier this evening my dear friend ANNA CORONEO launched her new collection at Morton’s in Mayfair. Her scarf signature collection has now also expanded into amazing beach towels, tea pots and mugs made in England, and interior pillows. It was four years ago we last saw each other back in New York, when we were both living there pushing our Carrie Bradshaw dreams through. Besides the fact that Anna has had an almost fairy tale perfect success, she is still as a very warm and loving person, just like before. What can I say, there’s few people you meet in life that inspires as much as Anna herself simply because she just do it (with a smile) and there’s no such thing as too naive. If you also want to be a proud owner of one of her scarfs you can find them on sites such as Net-a-Porter, Neiman Marcus and many more. I’m very grateful to know this creative woman and she really gives me a bunch of girl power feelings every time. I couldn’t have kicked off this week better and in fact someone very close will soon be a proud owner of this red ladybug scarf. Say no more…

Hello Monday, we meet again! Hope you guys had a lovely weekend, I spent most of mine exploring Islington and relaxing. Definitely not my most productive weekend, but certainly the most needed one. Broke in to my latest catch a piqué polo. Absolutely love it and it brings me back PE memories from school. However, once I go tennis, I go LACOSTE, paired with HARRIS TWEED jacket, FRAME DENIM jean and preppy TOD’S loafers.
Cherry blossom in the air, tickling sunshine and people smiling. All spring signs, and more than you could ask for, are here – hopefully to stay. My back is slowly getting better and this weekend we took a stroll in my neighborhood Islington. I love this part of London, simply because it’s seconds from the Regent’s Canal, the city and Eurostar, but also because of its endless choice of cute shops and cafés. Not to forget, there’s the picturesque Camden Passage – a treasure find of vintage and antique boutiques. Further west, you’ll find leafy Barnsbury with its white beautiful houses and go-to gastro pubs – perfect for brunch, dinner or apéro. This is also where former British Prime Minister Tony Blair use be a local.
