Ear cuff from H&M and no make-up, besides Chanel allure on my lips.

After fashion month and glimpsing through a katrillion spring/summer 2015 collections my eyes need rest – don’t get me wrong I can’t wait for the spring to come – but wait there’s also street style. Here, is where I actually get my best inspiration from, simply because it’s here, now and tangible. As much as I love extravagant dresses and living in Paris, where you can actually pull that off without being stared at, I also like to keep things simple. What will always be effortless hot, to me, is the denim; jean and blouse, jean and a polo, jean and a shirt. Here’s my Monday collage from Gisele Bündchen backstage at Calvin Klein 2000 show to Milan Fashion Week SS2015.

It’s been one year since I moved to Paris – can you believe it? Well I can’t, it’s simply gone by too fast! So, things are finally starting to come together in my new apartment and before anymore furnitures get in here I thought I sell out part of my closet, that just takes up unnecessary space. To spice it up I made a mimosa brunch for the girls, which always makes me think of New York (love that). Now I hope you all have a good evening!

Spotted outside my building Louis Vuitton‘s latest campaign. A celebration of “Le Monogram” by contributors Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Louboutin, Marc Newson, Cindy Sherman and Frank Gehry. Freja Beha doing her thing flawless with the bag creation by Christian Louboutin in my current obsession, the wrapped belt and knit underwear.
A few weeks ago I was asked to do styling for my friend and model Lina Sandberg‘s portfolio with photographer Jurij Treskow and make-up artist Regina Törnwall. The idea was eccentricity with graphic elements. For full story click here.
During Paris Fashion Week the Swedish brand Hope showed their Spring/Summer 2015 collection for the third time in Paris. I’ve been to all of them and it’s amazing to see how the brand is growing. Somewhere down in the corners of Le Marais they had found an industrial space that was sort perfect for it’s purpose. What stood out the most to me was the collaboration with print designer Märta Måås-Fjetterström. Together they had created a pixelated flower print, feeling inspired by the video games (and as some of you know I’m a big video game fan). It was romanic yet modern collection with 70’s cut and sporty influences, or as Head of Design Ann Ringstrand puts it: “The Swedish Tribe”. Well thank you for the amazing show, House of Hope.

Monday is probably the day I consume the most coffee. Starting at home with two espressos (yes and never less than 9 in intensity, after my tea), then it gets over to a soy cappo by lunch and back again on espressos. If you’re in Paris and trying to skip lactose (which is almost impossible here) I suggest you go to Rose Bakery in Le Marais or Pigalle. You can also get gluten free stuff here. Okay let’s take a coffee and pretend fall never happened (and that the sound of rain is just the new beat).

Hello from my rooftop and new flat! It’s slowly coming together but I still have a long way to go. Biggest and most difficult decision right now is the sofa. I just can’t find the perfect one, or speaking from my price range. I’m thinking towards art deco but I might as well end up with baby blue shades (at moment it seems to be interior trend..?). It’s all spinning in my head – gold, silver, wood, plastic, iron, marble, details, details, details…Enough, time to organize my closets!
Happy Sunday evening!

Opening Ceremony co-founders, Carol Lim and Humberto Leo, who since 2011 have also occupies the impressive post as creative directors for the French fashion house Kenzo, showed their spring/summer 2015 collection last Sunday in Paris. Not only have the duet managed to reinvigorate the fashion house but have also brought back its well-deserved spot on the fashion map, that in its 70′s heyday stood for the toast of French mode. Having the retailers take over the creative direction has proven to be a brilliant idea, and after all, founder Kenzo Takada, who moved from Japan to Paris in the mid-60′s, also had a hand in retail. Their capacity for fusion storytelling with current and future initiatives, yet diverse interests in different creative mediums, continues bringing excitement, whether there’s an environmental take, bringing back the “Flying Tiger” print or jamming a food trunk – we all love it.
What walked down the runway last week was a mash-up of skater culture from Lim and Leo’s Cali childhoods, the French atelier’s workmanship and a touch of native Japan. Spotted were palazzo pants in denim, calf-length trumpet dresses in graphic, Eiffel Tower-inspired lace, floor-length skirt laser-cut dots, broderie anglaise in playful blocky Kenzo logo-letters and a color palette of pastels, fresh white, basic black and navy blue. It was an eclectic mix of street skater silhouettes softened by the presence of feminine elegance from 20′s shapes.
Earlier this week I was at the KENZO showroom for a walk-through of the Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Let me tell you this, besides the to-die-for-ready-to-wear collection, the shoe department has really done a great work. These mules for example are just wa-wA-WOOM and works perfect a Friday like this, when the sun is out and you feel like sipping wine with your girlfriends somewhere in the backstreets of Paris. Maybe pair them with jean. Okay happy Friday on you all! I’m going back to my messy yet new and fab apartment!
