MONDAY is here! How was your weekend? Mine was well spent with my mom and dad. Not crazy, just embracing the last summer days and enjoying NYFW from distance. Actually pretty nice being on vacation during this hectic time. However it cant last forever but first some Paris.
ps. SS2012 whispers pink, yellow, white, peplum skirts and pointy toes.
KARLIE KLOSS IN RED ROSES BY UNKNOWN.
RIGHT now I’m packing for Paris. But first I like to send my thoughts to New York and everybody that was affected by 9/11. Let us all be safe.
I’m trying to make something good of this evening cause it’s all so sad and hard to get. Therefore I’m prepping for Paris. I’m not really sure what to bring but I believe at least a coat or two cause it’s really turning into fall. What else? I’m thinking Hotel Costes, Kong, Cafe Fleur, Le Baron, Ladurée… Please help me out! I haven’t been there in THREE years. AND last time it look something like THIS. Cant wait!!
LAST year I met the man himself. Not sure what could really encounter that. For this go around I have picked some stops I recommend you to if you’re in New York City tomorrow. Also keep in mind that most designers actually will be in their stores and that you will have great opportunity to hunt down whoever is on your list.
MANOLO BLAHNIK
Track down the Manolo Milkshake Truck Then, stop at the Manolo Blahnik store for the unveiling of a special shoe designed by Sarah Jessica Parker, who will be in attendance from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
BARNEYS
Carine Roitfeld is guest editing and styling some of the standout looks from the Fall 2011 collections.
REBECCA MINKOFF
Rebecca and my favorite blogger The Man Repeller is hosting a hair braiding bar to celebrate the launc of Polyvore’s Dee Clutch.

IF you’re thinking of getting foxy for NYFW and the upcoming fashion weeks I would do following three:
Source: elin kling, Nordstrom & me
1. FUR
This season is all about being luxurious and elegant. Fur on your head or on your shoulders – you decide. Check out: ODLR Fall 2011.
2. SLINGBACKS
I think it’s so hot and new in a way. Imagine the classic Carolyne slingback kitten heel pump from Manolo Blahnik in black nappa. They’re normally worn by an older woman that still wants to be chic but let’s instead move down in age to a younger hipper crowd and edge it up with some grafic dress pants and a retro sweater à la Céline.
3. DRESS PANTS
Well I’m totally in love with Altewai Saome and I like seeing new talents. This pants with slingbacks can’t other than be right or why not try Céline’s pants. ROCK IT.
NYFW is coming up and will not be able to participate – which I will tell you all about later. I will really miss going to the shows and backstage however I still report my favorites. Also I think it’s super cool that Elin Kling is styling Tibi’s show and if you curious how it looked two years ago click HERE.
EMILY DIDONATO BACKSTAGE AT TIBI NYFW SS2010 BY ME
FRIDAY was quite beautiful. Emma had cooked us all a lovely pasta dinner that we enjoined for hours talking, laughing and catching up. Surrounded by a thousand candles. NOT JOKING – it was amazing! So ripping that idea. After the dinner we finally went to my old hangout – Riche. How was your weekend?
