AT 7 am after having our breakfast by the pool (the monkeys woke us up again…not that I’m blaming anyone but…) we were ready to get the day going. Surrounded by the jungle and wild animals, we decided to drive to Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve to see more of Costa Rica’s rich nature. What’s interesting with this reserve is that in the early 60’s the couple Swede Nicolas Wessberg and Danish Karen Mogensen decided to preserve the area as they were impressed by the abundant wildlife and the enormous size and diversity of trees. After a two hours march we arrived at a beautiful beach with bamboo trees, where we spent a good three hours before walking back. A day full of sun and sport.

Redan vid sju på morgonen hade vi redan fått i oss frukosten framför poolen och var redo att möta dagen (här väcks man runt klockan 5.30 på morgonen av apor-vrål så det är bara upp och hoppa). Omringad av djungel och vilda djur kände vi att vi ville se mer av Costa Ricas vildmark, därför bestämde vi oss för att bege oss till Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve. Tydligen var det ett par, en svensk vid namn Nicolas Wessberg och danskan Karen Mogensen, som på 60-talet som blev så imponerad av Cabo Blancos mångfaldighet att de beslöt sig för att bevara området. Tur var det för annars hade det varit nerhugget idag. Efter en två timmars marsch kom vi fram till en magisk vit strand med bambuträd, var vi slappade i sisådär tre timmar innan vi gick tillbaka. En dag fylld av sol och sport.
