If there’s one show I’ve been looking forward to seeing it’s GUCCI at Milan Fashion Week. The brand brings certain emotions to my heart, I remember it being super big back in the 90’s and that my best friend and I, back in 2000, went on a three week French language course in Juan les Pins, to discover the world. Instead of eating for the my money I got from my parents (we got food from our host family we stayed with) I bought my first pair of GUCCI sunglasses, those of slim cat-eye character – if you can visualize them (or if not click here). I was very proud and I felt soo glam. Following summer I bought my first black hobo bag from them, and so it just went on. Until suddenly, something happened and it just stopped. I guess I got bored and I when opening up my eyes there seemed to be other brands to take up my curiosity. But finally we meet again, and I’m damn happy for that ’cause I’ve missed you!
Alessandro Michele delivers a fantastic second show and the 70’s quirky vintage disco girl is still there since last time and I couldn’t love it more. Modern touches of an ultra feminine Italy perdere with floating chiffon, Missoni-isque knits, croco bags and 70’s hyper platforms and glamorous twinkling shades. My spring SS16 bag choice is pretty clear, but the question remains – how many?
