MONDAY MOOD

Monday InspirationMonday has almost gone by and I’m already in bed. Ready to hit the dreams but first some inspo! On my way back home from work today I sat on the subway scrolling on my iPhone for inspiration and I found some from two weekends ago, when I was in Paris. Right after that I went over to my never ending passion, who never disappoints me when it comes to generating new influences. I’m of course talking about Pinterest.

Thus, today’s inspiration comes from exotic wild flowers, newly awaken kitty cats in leopard, breakfast at Le Fumoir with my bad boy, deco mirror from my favorite interior store on Rue Montesquieu, backstage at Giambattista Valli and then me taking a stroll at the Louvre in my MAXMARA city coat, black jeans from FRAME DENIM with an envelope clutch from GIVENCHY and boots from & OTHER STORIES.

THE SMALL THINGS

Paris February 2015
Without getting to cheesy I can’t help it. I love small romantic things like a cookie with the words “Je t’aime” on it. For me it’s all in the details. These are just some snapshots with my cell from Saturday’s stroll. Wouldn’t mind a mille feuille framboise now up the left…

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY

Kenzo dress AW14
A post-Happy Valentine’s Day from me to you! My boyfriend gave me this fantastic KENZO dress on Saturday, isn’t she dramatic? I will get you a photo in color soon but for now imagine strong yellow with hints of black and white, which I paired with pointy PRADA pumps and an envelope clutch from GIVENCHY. Probably the nicest gift ever. Still touched. Hope you had a fantastic heart-weekend too!

THE COFFEE BREAK

Paris February 2015
Speaking about coffee shops and perfect brewed coffee there’s always Frenchie-to-Goalso in the 2nd arrondissement. Actually, this is my first place I popped by when moving to Paris in the summer of 2013. Still going strong. Alright back to work! Hope you’re having a good Tuesday so far.

MATAMATA

Paris February 2015
The hunt for a perfect coffee is always on my mind, especially when in Paris since there’s so few of them. A recent new-opened coffee shop around the corner from me in the 2nd arrondissement is Matamata. Here you get perfect brewed coffee and a cute brunch like this.

CHANEL SANDALS

Chanel sandals
Here’s a close-up on my latest catch from CHANEL. I literally can’t wait for summer to come or someone to take me to the sun a little bit earlier than like May… The cushions makes me want to jump high, I’m simply flying in them here in my living room. If you still haven’t done your sales shopping or considering a last fling with the department stores, my best trick (not so surprisingly) is to go with classic brands, where you know you will get good quality and usage of it and if not for years. But before I hit the sales I always plan it in advance, carefully. I scan all my favorite shops online to get a better picture of the models, colors and prices, before I dare going outside. My best mates for the pre-work are Net-a-Porter, Barneys and Mytheresa. Whatabout you?

SUNDAY TREAT

Chanel sandals
Yesterday we took a stroll on Rue Saint Honoré to see what the sales had to offer. My last stop was CHANEL at Rue Cambon, literally because I know myself. It’s simply too sassy. A few euros later I ended up with a pair of summer sandals, with more cushions than my sofa – making me feel like a baby flying. I really like the touch of the twinkle Texas stars on T strap, just wishing the summer was here in a blink. Don’t you too?

SATURDAY CHILL

Paris January 2015

Earlier today in Paris, sitting here by my fountain waiting for a coffee (yet smiling). Wearing my cashmere coat from MAXMARA, jeans from FRAME DENIM and favorite quilted ankle boats from & OTHER STORIES.
