A sweet hello from Central Park! I’m here a week and I couldn’t be happier. Miss my old city! Yesterday we wonder around in the park embracing the sun (it’s still summer here!) and enjoyed an apero at the Boathouse.
Already Friday? Can’t believe how fast this week went by! As you might have noticed there’s a NYC theme on my blog this week. Maybe I miss the big Apple too much and it’s about time I book a flight? Flashback Friday with Caroline in my old apartment that use to look like a closet. I’m wearing a vintage macro lace dress and pumps from ALEXANDER WANG.
Coffee from Angelique at Bleecker Street in the middle of March +20C with Freja back in 2010. I remember that I had just flew back from a two weeks’ vacation in Costa Rica, still wearing my beach dress on from CR, vintage tweed, MARC BY MARC JACOBS sassy flipflops andcorky heart sunnies. However looking at the weather today it looks slightly snowier over in NYC… Bring the heat on pretty please!
When Mondays use to consist of after work photo shoots at my NYC rooftop and when the higher heels the better, were a norm. Flashback from spring 2010 and when I was wearing my silk long sleeve ACNE STUDIOS dress, tumbled leather ALEXANDER WANG platforms and MARC BY MARC JACOBS bag, dressed down with a vintage leather jacket. I remember loving this dress and I think I have to dig it up when going home. Isn’t it the best when you fall in love all over again?
Friday has finally arrived and I’m so happy! Have so much fun planned this weekend with friends I haven’t seen in a looong time. Almost as happy as this photo taken of me in Tribeca. Okay, I hope you will enjoy your weekend too!
Time for “dodo” as they say in French! I don’t know why I’m so tired but I believe it’s because I’m back at work meanwhile recovering from my back accident – and as you know I can never sit still (!!). When I came home tonight my laptop had suddenly decided to have no more space – so I quickly had to back it up and then drag each photo albums to a separate share drive. Maybe not the sexiest thing to do on a Tuesday evening, but I do love glancing through my old photos from time to time and this time I came across my old home on West 4th and MacDougal Street. Talk about getting nostalgic. Back in 2010, I had my windows on facing Uptown and each night I would slowly saying good night to the Empire State and the city. I remember never getting bored of it, ever. New York and all that came with it is probably the best thing that ever happen to me and is something I will never forget. Funny though, when looking at the photo today, exactly five years later, I can see that I had a LACOSTE table book in the window that was given to me at their first runway ever at NYFW, and today this is where I’m working. It’s a small world, isn’t it?
The thing with a blog is that it is personal. Thus, I have chosen to highlight some of my favorite moments from my time at Oscar de la Renta, where I worked on the footwear and accessories department. Here are some fragments from the behind-the-scenes, shows, press and ad campaigns. I will also tell you this, if you ever touch a Oscar gown, you would want to get married. Even if it’s never been one of your dreams.
