SHOE OF THE DAY

Paris May 2014

Say hello to my new bad boys! Today I’m wearing snake wedges by Christian Louboutin and I’m living in them at the moment. They fit me perfectly and I they make a nice touch to my everyday outfit. Find out later where I got them when I post photos from the weekend. Let me put it this way, I made a good deal!

TUESDAY FITTINGS

Paris May 2014

Today I was wearing my satin spring kicks from Chanel (gotta to love the disco heel) to my skinny cropped Paige denim and handbag by Valentino before it started raining. When is it every gonna stop?

SHOE OF THE DAY

Paris April 2014

Today I’m wearing my pointy pumps by Manolo Blahnik. What I specfically like about these ones are the tweak of lizard straps combinded with leather shoe laces. To make it look more casual on a regular Thursday I put on a pair of skinny denim. These pumps with a twist is a great choice if you already have the traditional pair but still don’t want too much attention drawn to you – on the street, at work or at the restaurant. Also, I must say it makes you smile everytime you look down and your walk more cocky. So why not? Happy Thursday on you all!

WEEKLY STYLE NOTES

Weekly Style Notes

Suddenly spring hits Paris and all you want to do is to undress. Off you go layers! How do I stay chic but still comfy in the wondering streets of Paris? Well I go for a city sandal – perfect to your jeans or skirt together with a fine knit sweater. I’m falling in love with Chloé’s super basic sandal and the more festive one from Sergio Rossi. This week I’ll give you both. Available @net-a-porter.com.

MY NAME IS BLAHNIK

Manolo Blahnik suede ankle boots

A close-up on yesterday’s choice. Love the cutouts around the ankles. It gives them such feminine touch that (you know) I like so much! Even though they’re 120mm single sole they’re actually comfy. Lovely peace of art so to say. I’m still voting for suede this fall and after watching the fashion shows they’re keepers. Pretty nice for the wallet if you’d ask me! Though I need to get a pair of over-the-knee boots in suede from Manolo Blahnik….Clicky click on MORE for more pics.

For spring I suggest you get your hands on something comfortable yet stylish to go with all your outfits. This pointy d’orsay flat in napa leather with stacked heel from Manolo Blahnik just arrived at Barneys shoe salon and I must say it has all the above mentions, if you ask me. I could see myself wearing them to my everyday denim but also to long dresses in any material. It’s like a tweaked ballerina. Perfection.

CHRISTIAN DIOR COUTURE SPRING 14

 Dior Couture Spring 14

I’m breathless. These shoes. This collection. Christian Dior’s Haute Couture Collection for Spring 14 is a masterpiece of cutworks in a dreamy wonderworld with pure lightness. However Raf Simons is balancing the cutness well because there’s definitely a sharper statement from the accessory department especially on the footwear, which ever since he took over been pretty much a new world (that blows me off). I like the idea of suspenders on the shoes which tweaks the else feminine and sweetness looking Dior collection. Something I’d like to wear to a pair denim shorts or mini skirt in the spring.

CHANEL

CHANEL pumps

Morning sunshines! As from yesterdays blog note you know I got something from Chanel. Well it’s about time I show you my new shoes. For a long time I’ve been looking for the perfect rounded toe in satin. A really chic cocktail pump that I can dress up a pair of denim pants or the LBD. What draw my attention was definitely the heel – it’s so disco! Love it! And then not to forget the fantastic cushion sole inside. It makes them so much more comfy. Click on MORE to get a close-up on the heels. I’m obsessed.

AUJOURD’HUI

rainy paris

Rainy Paris… two days in a row. I guess this is what winter is like in Paris. Today I’m wearing my J Brand mid wash skinny legs and Zara ankle boots. Not so smart to wear suede. Gosh what was I thinking?
