Here’s a close-up on my latest catch from CHANEL. I literally can’t wait for summer to come or someone to take me to the sun a little bit earlier than like May… The cushions makes me want to jump high, I’m simply flying in them here in my living room. If you still haven’t done your sales shopping or considering a last fling with the department stores, my best trick (not so surprisingly) is to go with classic brands, where you know you will get good quality and usage of it and if not for years. But before I hit the sales I always plan it in advance, carefully. I scan all my favorite shops online to get a better picture of the models, colors and prices, before I dare going outside. My best mates for the pre-work areNet-a-Porter, Barneys and Mytheresa. Whatabout you?
Yesterday we took a stroll on Rue Saint Honoré to see what the sales had to offer. My last stop was CHANEL at Rue Cambon, literally because I know myself. It’s simply too sassy. A few euros later I ended up with a pair of summer sandals, with more cushions than my sofa – making me feel like a baby flying. I really like the touch of the twinkle Texas stars on T strap, just wishing the summer was here in a blink. Don’t you too?
Hey, how’s it going? I guess most of you guys are back from vacation and scrutinized into work. Admit it, how many of us does really like the sound of going back to reality? If you’re like me having a hard time getting out of bed early in the morning, we can now glad ourselves with saying spring is actually around the corner to make life easier. Just think about the new collections popping up, new motivation added, new year’s resolutions to break and then the light to come (we all need you sun).
Lately, I’ve been traveling a lot to see friends and love, so I haven’t had the time yet to fulfill my idea of doing a vacation collage. However, I thought I could share my first 2015 Style Notes instead. Basically, I’m hunting the perfect Spring 2015 bag, which has now come down to a camera bag. However, I can’t decide whether I’m a bit bored of the CÉLINE, SAINT LAURENT and HERMÈS ones. Don’t get me wrong, they’re all really great bags for your wardrobe but it’s just that after living in Paris for over 15 months – it’s all you see, everywhere (plus Chanels). My choice today is therefore the new VALENTINO camera bag in taupe nappa. This one has more of a character and speaks to me in new way. It also would go perfect to your straight cropped jean. If you’re like me, in love with it, you can sign up here at Net-a-Porter to receive updates when it’s in stock. Alright, all for today.
Hello from Megève! I’m doing New Year’s Eve here and skiing. It’s just been snowing 1 meter, so I can’t wait to hit the loops! I hope you’re enjoying your hours before midnight too! Hat is from MAXMARA, sunnies from SPEKTRE and boots from SOREL.
After nearly five years in the industry, shoes have been my main area, besides from when I was doing denim for a little while (a great combination if you ask me – who wouldn’t want denim on shoes nowadays?!). Anyway, if you ever wonder why good quality footwear costs more have a look at Prada’s movie above and maybe this handcrafted work might convince you into start investing in your feet and closet for the future. This fantastic short film kind of explain why I love working with shoes. What can I say? It’s all in the details.
Boots are the best thing about winter, right? Especially when they fit you perfectly and you can wear them all day long. Current trends are more or less the same as PRADA footwear collection back in fall 2001 shot by Cedric Buchet. I’m still crazy about her thigh-high-over-the-knee boots and I wonder if I’d be lucky today when passing by my favorite vintage shop in Paris…
Fall is here and what does everyone need in rain and dust? The ultimate boot that works in rain, that looks good to anything you put on at 7 am in the morning without thinking, and preferably comfy? Well, I have my eyes on these Chelsea chain ankle boots from CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN.
This fall is all about effortless comfort and the block heel boots. Not to mention, the croco is hotter than ever this season. When walking into MAXMARA it’s normally the cashmere coats that cast me away, but this time it was actually the shoe salon that draw my full attention. Golden Salice ankle boots are simply the perfect way to lighten up your walk in the dark.
Earlier this week I was atthe KENZO showroom for a walk-through of the Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Let me tell you this, besides the to-die-for-ready-to-wear collection, the shoe department has really done a great work. These mules for example are just wa-wA-WOOM and works perfect a Friday like this, when the sun is out and you feel like sipping wine with your girlfriends somewhere in the backstreets of Paris. Maybe pair them with jean. Okay happy Friday on you all! I’m going back to my messy yet new and fab apartment!
