CHEZ CÉLINE

Chez Céline
A block from my apartment in Paris fashion house CÉLINE choose a new location from Rue du Pont Neuf to Rue Vivienne close by houses such as KENZO and ISABEL MARANT. If there’s anything that gets you going and motivates you throughout the day it’s your work space and surrounding. Fresh flowers are also a peaceful touch to your mind. Entering the new Headquarter of the fashion brand helmed by behind the creative director Phoebe Philo and CEO Marco Gobbetti makes me smile. This is pure harmony to my eyes and a massive upgrade from their last office. – Bravo!

APRIL LIST

April listHappy Saturday! Before I’m off to girls’ brunch let’s talk italian. I’m so madly in love with the brand MSGM. I’ve always loved the more expressional ready-to-wear and accessories, simply because they make me happy. The way Massimo Giorgetti mix colors and prints is refreshingly new and I’m very glad to hear that Emilio Pucci has brought him on as their new creative directorafter Peter Dundas. When I saw this stunning photo of Jean Shrimpton photographed by Bert Stern in 1960, I thought this will be my mood for spring – “hippie luxe”.

ANNA CORONEO

Anna Coroneo event at Morton s
Earlier this evening my dear friend ANNA CORONEO launched her new collection at Morton’s in Mayfair. Her scarf signature collection has now also expanded into amazing beach towels, tea pots and mugs made in England, and interior pillows. It was four years ago we last saw each other back in New York, when we were both living there pushing our Carrie Bradshaw dreams through. Besides the fact that Anna has had an almost fairy tale perfect success, she is still as a very warm and loving person, just like before. What can I say, there’s few people you meet in life that inspires as much as Anna herself simply because she just do it (with a smile) and there’s no such thing as too naive. If  you also want to be a proud owner of one of her scarfs you can find them on sites such as Net-a-Porter, Neiman Marcus and many more. I’m very grateful to know this creative woman and she really gives me a bunch of girl power feelings every time. I couldn’t have kicked off this week better and in fact someone very close will soon be a proud owner of this red ladybug scarf. Say no more…

On my mind right now is the perfect suede coat, besides GUCCI’s, I’ve now fallen for LOEWE. One of those once-in-a-life-time-investments that you can’t go wrong with… Hope you’re having a lovely Sunday and Mom’s Day!

WEEKLY STYLE NOTES

On my mind is the Bucket bag. Currently, I’m looking for a day time bag that will perfect after work when going for an apéro or so. I can see myself rock this Flamenco Knot large leather shoulder bag from LOEWE in a mini skirt and flat sandals or pair of denim and a white shirt.

RODARTE AW15

RODARTE AW15
DISCO BIRDS! I guess I’m not the only one to say it but it can’t hurt to say it one more time – this NYFW collection was the best. We’ve already seen the homage of the 70’s taken over but finally RODARTE comes and do something unconventionally perfect. The disco flicks mixed with hot pumas ruling the runway in a 60’s rock going 70’s glam appearance. Something that brings me vibes from Tom Ford’s golden days back at GUCCI, which is a pretty good grade. I definitely have to get my hands on the patent leather bomber and the V-cut blouse, just saying…

FRAME DENIM AW15

FRAME DENIM AW15

In the homage of the 70’s, FRAME DENIM presented their Fall 2015 collection earlier today in New York. A collection that not only consisted of jeans this time but a full wardrobe. It echoes minimalism with its clean lines, 70’s shapes and cuts, natural color palette and accessories. Besides the collection the model herself actually kind of remind me of Vanessa Paradise, which brings me to Paris and the peak era of Jane Birkin. Vibes I don’t mind at all, but who would? Regarding bringing back the flared denim, I haven’t been back since 1997 when I use to wear my GUL & BLÅ jean day and night, I welcome them with open arms. Love the high waist too. My only concern, however, is that I have to wait an entire semester to have what Grede and Torstensson referred to as “chic essentials”…
