If there’s one show I’ve been looking forward to seeing it’s GUCCI at Milan Fashion Week. The brand brings certain emotions to my heart, I remember it being super big back in the 90’s and that my best friend and I, back in 2000, went on a three week French language course in Juan les Pins, to discover the world. Instead of eating for the my money I got from my parents (we got food from our host family we stayed with) I bought my first pair of GUCCI sunglasses, those of slim cat-eye character – if you can visualize them (or if not click here). I was very proud and I felt soo glam. Following summer I bought my first black hobo bag from them, and so it just went on. Until suddenly, something happened and it just stopped. I guess I got bored and I when opening up my eyes there seemed to be other brands to take up my curiosity. But finally we meet again, and I’m damn happy for that ’cause I’ve missed you!

Alessandro Michele delivers a fantastic second show and the 70’s quirky vintage disco girl is still there since last time and I couldn’t love it more. Modern touches of an ultra feminine Italy perdere with floating chiffon, Missoni-isque knits, croco bags and 70’s hyper platforms and glamorous twinkling shades.  My spring SS16 bag choice is pretty clear, but the question remains – how many?

BK Rive GaucheFrom September the 3rd to October the 17th,  Brooklyn is coming to Rive Gauche at Le Bon Marché. If in Paris I highly suggest you go there and check it out. It will be everything from clothing, accessories, interior to food – it will be kind of lovely things from this Manhattan side-kick creative island. Good in French or just looking for inspiration? Check out the magazine here.

A mix of the 90s vibe, 60s safari jacket hints and Phoebe Philo cuts. Can it get much better than that? Yes, actually cause you can already lease Filippa K’s runway SS16 collection online here. Love the idea!

Current mood when being back in the city and the office. Don’t you just want to go back to that sunny beach, fresh ocean and sun chair…

YVES SAINT LAURENT is set to return to couture for the first time since 2002. The space is created inside a 17th-century mansion, Hôtel de Sénecterre, with three separate areas: the Salon Couture, the Atelier Flou and the Atelier Tailleur, with a logo de Cassandre. Before we know if they will show on schedule here’s some new couture pieces photographed by the house, in the new atelier, to embrace.

Are you still in the city working and craving for the beach when you know you won’t be there for another good month… Well I hear you and you’re not alone. I have about a month left until I can stick my toes into those silky soft sandbanks so until then let’s try to survive the humidity in something chic. Best thing now is that we have the summer sales second markdown coming and what I suggest to try to find is something preppy casual that you can wear both for work and apéro:
