Ever since I got back from LA I’ve been wanting to write a guide. It end up being pretty long but there’s simply too much good shopping and food experiences I couldn’t keep it short. Well now it’s finally here and I hope you will like it a lot!
American Rag 150 S La Brea Avenue
A mix of old vintage and new contemporary designers. Find an entire room full of denim. Never seen anything like this. SO amazing and if you here a Sunday don’t miss their $1 fleamarket in the afternoon.
Cafe Midi 148 S La Brea Avenue
Next door you have this colonial café. Get interior and tiles inspired will working or enjoying breakfast/lunch. Very chic!
Surf Shop La Brea Avenue
Can’t remember the name of this shop but it was here at La Brea and I just got very inspired here. Lot’s of local Venice Beach surfer brands/designers with fresh city twist. Check it out!
WGACA 159 S La Brea Avenue
Well selected vintage with original Chanel dresses, Manolo Blahniks from the 80’s and cool printed tees. They have it in New York too so if you been there you will probably end up loving this one (even better if you ask me!!). So regret not getting a green fur…
Steven Alan 123 S. La Brea Avenue
Just love this brand. Cutest underwears ever!
Sycamore Kitchen 143 South La Brea Avenue
Perfect stop for a lunch. Industrial simplicity.
If La Brea was awesome vintage shopping Robertsson Blvd is the place for contemporary designers and concept stores with brands such as Paige, J Brand, Proenza Schouler with celeb sports.
Kitson 115 S. Robertson Blvd
They have it ALL from women, men to kids and interior. I literally walked out 1 hour later with too many shopping bags from designer Brian Lichtenberg… Great mix of brands and humor. Wish we had a shop like this in Stockholm!
Curve 154 N. Robertson Blvd
Great selection of contemporary fashion. More on the high-end section.
The Ivy 113 N Robertson Blvd
Take a shopping break? This genuine Spanish spot is the place. Also garanties celebrite spotting during breakfast, brunch or lunch. But make sure you make a reservation in advance!
Cuvée 145 S Robertson Blvd
Great European feeling in LA. Take a glas of vine or coffee!
Kind of noisy street but full of charm. Mostly small beauty shops and food stops.
Joan’s on Third 8350 W 3rd St
Best lunch place ever! Imagine Whole Foods or any well sorted organic grocery and make into a restaurant. Fast and easy and really familiar feel. Yet trendy. Ps. Ask for the dressing on the side!
Clover Juice 8384 W 3rd St
Some fresh juice addiction – this is your bar!
Magnolia 8389 W 3rd St
Same as in New York so if you have a sweet tooth you know where to go… And be BAD!
Standard Hotel 8300 Sunset Blvd Hollywood
Looking for a classic SATC visit to Hollywood? Well do like Carrie and take into Standard Hotel. But promise me you won’t drive a stick. Do an automatic! Here you find a downtown hipster sceen even though you’re uptown. Great food – recommend the calamaris, tuna salade, crispy spring rolls… or cocktails by the pool.
Chateau Marmont 8221 Sunset Blvd Hollywood
A classic elegant restaurant and with a side bar to pop to later. This place will take you back to the good old Hollywood Glam days. Make sure to book a table in the garden for dinner. Also there’s no doubt you will spot celebrities here – so don’t get too star struck!! Oh and the starters are the best. If you ever been to Hotel Costes in Paris garden this will for sure make you feel like home.
Pink Taco 8225 Sunset Blvd West Hollywood
Beverly Hills Hotel 9641 Sunset Blvd Bevery Hills
Do a breakfast à la Hollywood style or why don’t you just check in here? You won’t regret!
Firefly 1409 Abbot Kinney BlvdLovely little shop with books, postcards and lots of different accesssories for your home. I love it!
Intelligentsia 1331 Abbot Kinney Blvd
Coffee coffee coffee…
Wasteland 1330 4th St
Vintage shopping for men and women. Decent price and nice selection!
Urth Caffee 2327 Main Street
Organic thea, coffee and cakes. You find this place on more locations in LA and it’s really here you get the more hippie LA feel – that I was kind of missing here and there. Go for the green foam thea!
Buffalo Exchange 2449 Main St
Cheepest and chicest vintage! Same as in New York but more hippie.
Maxfield 8825 Melrose Avenue
High-end luxury shop. Very artsy so def check it out if your in Melrose. I didn’t have too much time so I’m sure there’s a lot here too.
Looking for Barneys, Nordstrom? Well this is the place. Swing by Famer Market for lunch!
